The best ways to beat roulette
There
are only two really good ways to beat roulette. One is called a biased
wheel, and the other is called a dealers signature. This page will describe
each, and the plausibility of using either. When it comes to online roulette,
there are other opportunities to beat roulette, depending on the software
in question and how bulletproof it is.
A biased wheel is one that has taken on some characteristic that was
never intended. This could be wear and tear over the years (in Vegas,
they replace the wheels every once in a while to avoid this), or perhaps
a poorly manufactured (or programmed, if it's online roulette we want
to beat) wheel. Whatever the cause, the result is what we're interested
in. If a wheel is slightly tilted or worn, it's possible that the resting
place of the ball may happen to land nearer one corner of the wheel, more
than any other corner. If this is the case, your odds are good if you
have figured out the corner, and are betting all over it! This is a great
way to beat roulette, but it's harder and harder to come across.
Online roulette may be beat by a similar method, but the 'biased wheel'
would actually work out to be a poorly programmed roulette game. If the
random number generator being used by the casino isn't truly random, it
may contain a flaw that disproportionately land the ball on one number
or some set of numbers more than chance would allow for. There is software
available which allows you to record multiple spins on some online roulette
software.
The dealer's signature is an interesting phenomenon, and one worth looking
more closely at. The basis is that a roulette dealer will develop a pattern
in how they spin the wheel and throw the ball into it. If the velocities
involved are very similar each spin, there is a chance that the ball will
consistently come to rest a set distance around the wheel from where it
was released. If you watch the dealer and see where they happen to let
go of the ball on a spin, you can see where the ball lands and measure
the distance between there and where it was released. If you do this a
few times you may find that the distance is fairly consistent. If it is,
you've found a dealers signature and you can take advantage of it, and
seriously beat roulette.
Just watch the dealer closely as they let go of the ball, then add on
from there the distance of the 'signature' you've noticed, then quickly
run over to the board and bet on the numbers around where the ball 'should'
land. If you're successful in finding a signature, you have to do your
best to hide the fact that you're taking advantage of it, or the casino
will kick you out the front door faster than you can collect your money.
